The Mummies: Nat Taylor and her shiny Sharks, Rudi, 11 & Arlo, 8
These two fintastic awards belong to Nat Taylor, Founder of Poppet. While raising two delightful boys, Nat also managed to raise a business baby of her own. While she’s lucky to now be her own boss, it hasn’t always been smooth sailing on the ad mum seas — she’d describe her experience as “intense”.
The Mummies: Edwina Gilbert and her Spikey sons, Gus, 8 & Josh, 11
An icon in the industry for many years, Edwina Gilbert is the next Mummie we are celebrating in our series. Office Manager & EA to CEO Dalton Henshaw at Bullfrog, she’s mum to her sporty and ‘Spike-y’ sons Gus, 8 and Josh, 11.
The Mummies: Priya Addams Williams and her little AdFest Lotus, Leela, 1
This precious little petal is Leela, our Adfest lotus! Daughter to Priya Addams Williams, Shift 20 Initiative Lead at the Dylan Alcott Foundation.
The Mummies: Annie Price and her sharp D&AD Pencil, Dot, 14
A creative as talented as she is kind, Annie has been part of adland for 30+ years. She has watched (and no doubt, influenced) the positive shift in the industry’s attitudes towards parents.
The Mummies: Esther Parsons and her sweet LIA Angel, Sylvie, 2
Meet the expecting Esther Parsons, Art Director, Clemenger BBDO and her daughter Sylvie, 2, our mischievous LIA Angel. We can’t tell who is glowing more… Sylvie’s halo or Esther’s pregnancy?!
The Mummies: Lauren Eddy and her cute Clio, June, 1
Meet the second trophy on our shelf, and in our opinion, the cutest Clio we’ve ever seen — little June, aged 1. Daughter of Lauren Eddy, Senior Copywriter at Bullfrog and Co-host of our very own podcast, Mums on Call.
The Mummies: Sarah McGregor and her Gold Lion cub, Wyn, 8
Following the tail end of the Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity, it’s only natural the first trophy in our collection is gold lion Wyn, son of Sarah McGregor, Executive Creative Director at Dentsu Creative. A fearless leader, running her own department and collecting a few awards of her own, she admits being a working creative mum hasn’t always been as golden as her shiny cub.
Meet The Mummies: A series that celebrates our industry mums
So while the industry’s attention is focused on recognising the incredible work awarded in the South of France this week, we want to make a spiky point: our industry’s mums deserve recognition too.
In honour of all that they have done and continue to do, we have created their own adorable award series, The Mummies.
